On Thursday we discussed the question - 'How many days have we been together in K2 since the first day back in September?' It got the children talking about the seasons, as we remembered together that way back in September the weather was really hot. We discussed the frosty winter weather we experienced in the forest and how we can now tell that winter is coming to an end. During our morning Forest School, we saw buds on the trees, blossom, acorns sprouting and many insects.
Some of the children felt confident guessing the numbers of days and the guesses ranged from 17 to 100 days.
I told the children that on Friday we would be celebrating 100 days of school and asked them to challenge their parents on Thursday evening with the question - How many days of school have we had in K2? I hope you had some good discussions at home. I enjoyed witnessing the interesting reasoning involved when the conversations happened at pick-up and drop-off. Here are some pictures of our 100 activities:

We placed 100 pieces of Lego on the 100 square and G made this using some of the pieces.
