Bringing the focus to our year-long UOI into weather and seasons

We came into class and found the teachers dressed in unusual clothes. Nick was dressed for summer in shorts, t-shirt and flip flops. Estelle was dressed for snow with a ski jacket, furry boots, gloves and a hat. Karen was dressed for a rainy day as you can see in this photo!

Nick poured water on Karen - like in a rainstorm and...she didn't get wet. Even when we threw a cup of water at her, her jumper stayed dry. We watched the rain run off her coat.

We played with water and noticed how some things soak up water.
We squeezed oranges to make fresh juice with lots of vitamin C to keep us healthy as the weather gets colder. We also made hot chocolate which is lovely and warming on a cold wintry day. Different people made different choices.
