Space and the moon

In the story 'How to catch a star' that we have been working on there is a little boy whose rocket takes him to the moon. This has led us into thinking about the moon. Maria noticed that sometimes it is shaped like a banana. We thought about how it changes shape. Sometimes it is more like a ball or an orange. Karen found this lovely short film which tells the story of three generations who keep the moon clean. We watched it in class and here it is so the children can watch it again at home.
