Chateau de Bergues

On Friday 4th May K1&2 visited the  Chateau de Bergues. It was a wonderful day despit the cold weather. The activities kept the children active and warm. Our visit to the vegetable garden included identifying aromatic plants by taste and smell; weeding the vegetable patch and topping up the compost pile; searching for different vegetables and discovering the various ways they grow and planting two types of bean. In the afternoon the children worked well in teams to solve challenging clues to complete a treasure hunt in the beautiful grounds of the chateau. Here are some photos of the day.
