Forest school - this week and last week!

Week 1

A bug hunt. We bashed the branches of a tree and observed what fell out. We found crickets, ants, spiders, ladybirds and beetles.

Preparing to use the rope walkway.

 A ladder for gnomes!

Stone soup and lots of teamwork.

This one is an expert at finding oak apples.

Some shots from Siba, our budding photographer.

Week 2 and the grass was very long. Taller than us!

We made forest friends for Princess Woody! Some friends were sticks, some stones, some leaves and one friend was a shell from a walnut.

We made homes, beds, chairs and even cars for the forest friends.

Then we made crowns - our diamonds and rubies were leaves, sticks, moss, grass, stones, acorns and other treasures.

We explored the textures of the trees and made some bark rubbings.
