When we were talking about rainy weather and Julia mentioned rainbows. Karen had seen a double rainbow above her garden. Rainbows have caught our imagination and we will find out more about rainbows through our inquiry. How are they made? Can we create our own?
This discussion gave us an idea for our cooking activity of the week - we made rainbow cake. It was a great opportunity for practising cooking skills but from a gastronomic perspective in K2A it was not a huge success! Estelle made a mistake with the ingredients - if you want to know what went wrong you'll have to ask the children! All we can say here is that the 3rd cake was perfect and delicious.
Nick class had no such difficulties - they win this week's Bake Off!
